This multi-purpose plant has been found to lower blood pressure, reduce inflammation, prevent alcohol addiction and drug relapse, and helps to treat anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, etc.

Cannabis is also often used to treat gastrointestinal disorders such as Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcers, and other inflammatory disorders. It also helps to prevent seizures. More importantly, research has shown that CBD relieves the painful effects of chemotherapy, providing hours of pain relief to patients in pain and helping to restore appetite. Asides from that, the plant has been found to contain properties that help fight the growth of cancerous cells.

2. Tumeric

Tumeric is a globally known spice used to improve inflammation and pain. For thousands of years, it’s been used in parts of Asia for medicinal purposes. Turmeric contains a pigment known as curcumin; this pigment has all the pharmacologic properties that make turmeric so popular.

Patients with chronic back and knee pain have compared turmeric to Ibuprofen when describing its pain-relieving properties. However, the amount of curcumin in each turmeric is so little grinding up this space, and adding it to your foods and drinks might not provide the quantity of the pigment needed to relieve your pain. The recommended way to ingest this is to get curcumin supplements

This is not to say that you should not bother eating turmeric. Tumeric has a ton of other health benefits that cannot be ignored. Some of its benefits include anti-oxidation properties, immune boosting properties, lowering cholesterol, aiding digestion, and helping maintain blood pressure.

3. Leafy Vegetables

Every healthy diet has vegetables as an essential part of it. Green leafy vegetables contain all the important vitamins and minerals that could help avoid illnesses like cough and cold and support good health. This is why it’s one of the most recommended natural remedies to boost your immune system. Examples of leafy greens include mustard greens, bok choy, romaine lettuce, kale, spinach collard greens, etc. Apart from sustaining a healthy immune system, these vegetables come along with endless benefits such as: improving digestion, promoting great skin health, and good vision. They are low-calorie foods so they help prevent obesity and provide fiber to help prevent constipation. Finally, their anti-oxidation properties help to lessen the likelihood of heart disease, stroke, and cancer. Leafy greens are rich in calcium, potassium, iron, vitamin C, and vitamin A.

This is the reason maybe people are drawn to this spice despite its not-so-pleasant smell. Garlic was also an acceptable preventive measure against the Covid-19 virus. People who have a family history of heart disease could significantly lower their chances of suffering cardiac arrest by making garlic a part of their diet. Though there’s insufficient research on this, garlic also reduces the risk of certain cancers such as colon cancer.

Just like many medicinal foods, garlic has several probiotic properties and is known to prevent the growth of fungi and protozoa. It also helps prevent bacteria and infections such as viral infections and serves as a good antibiotic agent. Garlic is an antioxidant that’s been known to help prevent diseases such as Alzheimer’s and dementia. It also acts as a detoxifying agent to help remove unwanted substances from the body.
